We’re seeking a driven and experienced professional to oversee our offshore accounting team, ensure the accuracy and compliance of their work, and provide expert tax advice to our clients.

Role Overview

The Accounting & Tax Operations Manager will oversee and collaborate with our talented offshore team to ensure all accounting and tax tasks are completed with precision. In this leadership role, you’ll act as the key liaison between the offshore team and clients, reviewing deliverables, addressing complex client needs, and ensuring adherence to Canadian or U.S. tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the performance of offshore accounting staff, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
Review financial statements, reconciliations, tax returns, and other deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
Provide expert tax advice to clients, ensuring adherence to Canadian or U.S. tax laws and regulations.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
Collaborate with offshore staff to implement and improve processes, ensuring efficiency and quality.
Conduct regular quality assurance checks and provide training or feedback to the offshore team as needed.

Qualifications

CPA designation (required).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and tax, with a focus on Canadian and/or U.S. tax regulations.
Proven experience managing teams, with an ability to guide and mentor staff effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience working with offshore teams is a plus.
